Research Projects

The Center for Black Studies Research sponsors fellows, research projects, workshops, guest speakers and symposiums. The CBSR is an autonomous research unit, reporting directly to the Office of Research. The CBSR is empowered by the Office of Research and responsible to various communities to support interdisciplinary and collaborative research on the Black studies and Afro-diasporic communities; to disseminate knowledge through its publications; to create a culture of grant development and to seek extramural research funds; to support Black graduate and undergraduate student and scholarly research; to develop programs that connects grant development, research and scholarship; and to carry out its public mission of community-engaged work.
