CBSR Room Reservations

The Center would like to connect more with our community by opening up our spaces for individuals to engage in scholarly discourse. Currently we have two spaces available to reserve in UCSB's 4603 and 4502 South Hall. The use of these spaces is limited to small academic and scholarly group discussions. At this time we are limiting reservations. Faculty, post doctoral scholars, and graduate students may reserve the space for symposiums, colloquia, and seminars. The space may only be reserved for up to 2 hours at a time. Per request, additional time will be considered on a case by case basis. Please see the links below for the request forms.

The Healing Space

The Healing Space is a new therapy training clinic under the UCSB Counseling, Clinical & School Psychology Department (through the Hosford Clinic currently) that specializes in consultation, counseling, and therapy for the Black community, and provided by Black clinicians. We strive to provide a restorative therapeutic space that understands the true nature of racism as well as the unique, incredible resilience and strength of our community.

The Healing Space was recently awarded a UCOP Advancing Faculty Diversity grant (2021-2023) to create a Black junior faculty mentorship program to foster community and scholarship at UCSB.
