Allison Clark
Dr. Allison Clark joins the ASPIRE Institutional Change Initiative (IChange) as the new Program Manager. Her background is rooted in DEI. During her time at the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) where she was the Community Engagement Manager for the National Science Foundation’s Inclusion across the Nation of Communities of Learners of Underrepresented Discoverers in Engineering and Science (NSF INCLUDES) Open Forum on Trellis— an online community of STEM practitioners. The NSF INCLUDES is a comprehensive effort to enhance U.S. leadership in STEM talent from all sectors and groups in our society.
She previously served as a Program Manager for a national, non-partisan campaign focused on increasing the rate of voter registration in communities of color. To date, the effort has increased the number of new people of color voting registrations in multiple states across the country, and expanded capacity for organizations conducting voter registration programs in communities of color. Her background as a community organizer, and strategist assists her in her role as the IChange Program Manager. She works with the IChange teams to meet the goals of the program -- self-assessment, the development and implementation of an action plan for initial change and map ways to scale such efforts across campus STEM programs.
