Zainab Bansfield
2021-2022 SEEDS & BRAIN Guide, Graduate Student Researcher, UCSB Department of MCDB
Zainab recently graduated with a Bachelors in Microbiology from UCSB. She is interested in computational biology and loves the problem solving aspect of coding. This, as well as being intrigued by the optogenetic control of larval chemotaxis, led Zainab to join the Louis Lab in the summer of 2020. She hopes to gain a better understanding of behavioral data analysis and neural computation. She is currently working on the addition of behavioral mode classifiers to an online larva tracking software called PiVR.
