Serena Seshadri is a graduate student in the department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering studying photo-responsive fluid materials for applications towards developing light-responsive actuators. Serena has a passion for advancing equitable and relevant science education, particularly for K-12 learners. As a South Asian woman in science, she is committed to developing culturally responsive curricula to prioritize stories and methodologies that reflect and acknowledge experiences of marginalized communities through decolonized, creative and learner-centric educational practices.
